Danske Bank’s Large Corporates & Institutions division is looking for ambitious First Year Analysts to join our Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB) and Markets & Transaction Banking (MTB) teams in Helsinki.
As First Year Analyst, you will join a business unit where we serve large corporate and institutional clients with complex financing and transaction needs and help them prosper and grow. We offer expertise in funding, risk management, investment services and comprehensive transaction banking solutions.

About the business units
Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB) owns and allocates capital on all large corporate and institutional customers and initiates and drives strategic dialogue with these customers. Based on this, CIB facilitates the relevant products and services in collaboration with the product units. We have an ongoing strategic dialogue with the customers regarding their business strategy and capital structure. As part of this setup, we lead the customer teams.
Markets & Transaction Banking (MTB) focuses on sales, trading and macroeconomic research services on fixed income, credit and currencies. We provide our clients with extensive product offering in fields of foreign exchange, interest rate derivatives, fixed income and credit bonds. Our services range from risk hedging advice for corporate clients to investment strategies with institutional investors. Furthermore, we offer full-scale cash management services and tailored solutions to match even the most complex requirements, built on our award-winning cash management infrastructure and tools. As a member of MTB team, you will learn to provide fast pricing in various e-platforms, model complex multi-asset class solutions.
The First Year Analyst program
The First Year Analyst program in Large Corporates & Institutions is an opportunity to accelerate your career within multiple career tracks being part of an innovative organization. As a First Year Analyst, you will have the opportunity to get to the core of financial markets and learn about a broad range of financial instruments. You will get immediate contact with Danske Bank’s biggest clients and core business, and have various motivating tasks.
The next First Year Analyst program starts 1st September 2021, and the duration of the program is 18 months. You will be on a steep learning curve that enables you to take on added responsibility in your team after your first 18 months. To support your development you will also join multiple training activities and have a possibility for a rotation at another department. This will broaden your knowledge and skill set, to give you a wider understanding of our business and add new perspectives to bring back to your desk. After the 18 months, we will continue to focus on your personal and professional development at Danske Bank.

It is important that you are a person with an outgoing personality and great communication skills as you will be in touch with a number of different internal and external stakeholders on a daily basis.
You most likely have an MSc in Business, Economics or Engineering, but your degree could well be within another field – what matters more is that you have the can-do attitude and an open mind set. We value previous experience from banking, or a similar sector, but it is not a requirement.
Fluency in Finnish and English is a requirement as we operate in an international environment.
