What's going on in January and February?

Hello exchange students and IMMIT students of TuKY (the Student Union of Turku School of Economics)!
We would like to inform you along this spring about upcoming events, activities and important dates in our Student Union, in Turku and in Finland.

January

Wednesday 21.1.

Turku Contact Forum 2009
This annual recruiting event is organized by KKOY (the Student Union's International Business students' club) The event features several large companies from Finland and some international companies as well. Contact Forum takes place at Mercatori of Turku School of Economics.

Wednesday 21.1.

Back To School -party at Night Club Börs (next to Kauppatori)
The tickets to this party are sold in advance this week on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at the breaks of 12 and 14, as long as Ulkkis has advance tickets left to sell. The ticket price in advance is 5 Euros, and 6 Euros at the door.

Monday 26.1.

Working in Finland -seminar
This seminar features numerous presentations concerning perseptions, difficulties and opportunities for foreign students to work in Finland. Views of point are given by international students, employers and other parties related in job markets in Finland. Thursday 5.2.

J.L. Runeberg's Day
This day is dedicated to commemorate the Finnish poet Johan Ludvig Runeberg. The day is mostly known for the traditional cup cakes called Runeberg cakes. For more information on J.L. Runeberg, go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Johan_Ludvig_Runeberg

Thursday 5.2.

Pikkulaskiainen -party
This is the biggest party of the year organized by our Student Union. Students from all over the country will arrive in Turku for the bar hopping race and afterparty, and the city will be filled with students in their overalls of various colors.
The idea is to gather a team of 4 for the bar hopping race. Make sure you have this team formed by the time you go purchase the ticket for your team. The team ticket includes the entrance for all 4 team members to the afterparty, and the price of this ticket is 40 Euros. The team members will also receive the overall patch.
A separate ticket to the afterparty costs 6 Euros.
